Help, she’s having an Identity Crisis
I’m a writer. It’s taken a long time to acknowledge that, or the implications of it, but since it almost cost me my life, I thought I’d better start.
It can take a long time for someone to realize who they are, what they were meant for. We can drown it out in drink, take enough drugs to bring on the creativity, make-believe we are what we’re not. I personally prefer absolute silence, a tot of rum to loosen the inhibitions, and a bit of Nature.
Identity crisis solved.

It took me 31 years to realize I’m a writer. I’m glad to know I wasn’t the only one. 🙂

It can feel like the most obvious, yet somehow elusive fact: to acknowledge what you were made for. What your personal outlet is. It’s not a bundle of roses, as I’m sure you’ve found too 😉 Sometimes, being a writer sucks hard at the soul. But the highs, the pluses, far outweigh the dark times. Thanks for adding back 🙂 Always good to have a smart new perspective.

Exactly, when I finally realized what I was made for I mentally kicked myself. My purpose was right there, all this time. No, it’s not always rainbows and butterflies, but I love every minute of it, even the bad stuff. Thanks for following, and I will try my best to offer a smart new perspective every chance I get.
